[Remote] Financial Planning Analyst

Pavago is seeking a Budgeting/Forecasting Specialist to build financial models, manage planning cycles, and provide insights that guide strategy. The role involves collaborating with finance leaders to ensure budgets and forecasts are accurate and strategically aligned while conducting variance analysis and financial modeling.ResponsibilitiesLead preparation of annual operating and capital budgetsConsolidate inputs across departments and business unitsEnsure budgets align with company goals and resource constraintsMaintain rolling forecasts for revenue, expenses, and cash flowUpdate models monthly or quarterly with actuals, adjusting assumptionsBuild scenario and sensitivity analyses to test potential outcomesCompare actual results to budgets/forecastsPrepare written commentary to explain variances and recommend corrective actionsBuild dynamic Excel or Google Sheets models (DCF, ROI, IRR, break-even)Use advanced formulas, macros, or BI tool integrations to improve accuracyPrepare management reporting packages with dashboards and visualizationsPresent insights to executives, highlighting risks and opportunitiesPartner with department heads to align forecasts with operational plansWork with FP&A teams to refine planning assumptionsIdentify inefficiencies in forecasting workflowsImplement new FP&A software or improve data integrations (Adaptive Insights, Anaplan, Workday, or equivalent)SkillsBachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field3+ years in financial planning/analysis, budgeting, or forecastingAdvanced Excel/Google Sheets (nested formulas, pivot tables, sensitivity modeling)Experience preparing variance analyses for leadershipFP&A tool experience (Anaplan, Adaptive Insights, Hyperion, Workday)MBA, CFA, or CPA credentialExperience forecasting for SaaS, real estate, or professional servicesFamiliarity with BI/analytics platforms (Power BI, Tableau, Looker)Company OverviewPavago - Thinking Globally to Grow Locally 🌍 Welcome to Pavago, where the world is your talent pool.
