Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Crossing Hurdles is a company seeking a Financial Modeling Expert to join their team on a part-time contract basis. The role involves building and enhancing financial models, leading valuation analyses, and supporting complex transactions while communicating with senior stakeholders.
Responsibilities
ā¢ Build and enhance integrated 3-statement models, operating models, and 13-week cash flow forecasts
ā¢ Lead valuation analyses including DCFs, WACC build-outs, trading comps, and precedent transactions
ā¢ Develop deal models including LBOs, merger models, and accretion/dilution analyses
ā¢ Design industry-specific financial frameworks such as REIT conversions, sale-leasebacks, and NAV models
ā¢ Support complex transactions including carve-outs, spin-offs, RMTs, and IP licensing structures
ā¢ Conduct advanced due diligence analyses including unit economics and cohort trends
ā¢ Communicate model assumptions, outputs, and strategic implications clearly to senior stakeholders
Skills
ā¢ Proven experience at tier-1 firms in investment banking, private equity, hedge funds, growth equity, or strategic finance
ā¢ Expert command of financial modeling, valuation, and deal structuring principles
ā¢ Strong track record with DCF, LBO, M&A, and industry-specific modeling
ā¢ Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
ā¢ Strong analytical rigor and meticulous attention to data integrity
ā¢ Advanced proficiency with Excel and financial modeling tools
ā¢ Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-performance, remote environment
