The role involves identifying and solving complex challenges related to financial management, improving internal controls, and supporting government agencies with financial reporting and compliance.ResponsibilitiesHelp clients identify, evaluate, and solve complex challenges to achieve strategic goals and objectivesTransform business processes, improve operational efficiency, and comply with Federal laws and regulationsSupport internal controls over financial reporting (ICOFR) in line with OMB Circular A-123Support the development and execution of corrective action plans and remediation strategiesProvide financial statement audit and audit risk management supportAssess the impact of new guidance on financial operations and support implementationApply analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skillsDocument and evaluate business processes and make recommendations for improvementsProduce communications including memos, presentations, and executive briefingsConduct research to investigate client problems and recommend solutionsAssist clients in analyzing projects and programs to identify risks and develop mitigationsSupport clients in collecting and analyzing data, producing models, and drawing conclusionsAnalyze and improve policies and procedures for various programs and operational needsAssist in business development activities including identifying client needs and developing proposalsParticipate in coaching and mentoring staffAssist in the development of learning materials and presentationsSupport recruitment initiatives for the companySkillsMust be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD 'PUBLIC TRUST'; candidates must obtain approved adjudication of their PUBLIC TRUST prior to onboarding with Guidehouse.
