[Remote] Financial Controller

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Halkin Business Partners is seeking a Financial Controller to join their fractional CFO services team. This role involves managing a portfolio of client companies, overseeing financial operations, and ensuring reporting accuracy while directly collaborating with the Fractional CFO.ResponsibilitiesOwn the month-end close process across your entire client portfolio, reviewing reconciliations and ensuring completeness and accuracy before sign-offDeliver monthly financial packages including Balance Sheet, Income Statement, and Cash Flow statements on time, every timeProduce and review KPI reporting tailored to each client's industry and engagement scopeManage the day-to-day output and development of a team of Senior Accountants, identifying workflow bottlenecks and matching capacity to delivery demandsDesign and document standardised accounting workflows and internal controls for new client onboarding, continuously refining processes as the portfolio growsServe as the primary day-to-day link between the Fractional CFO and the accounting team on the groundManage direct client communications, maintain professional scope boundaries, and liaise with external tax preparers, auditors, and advisors as neededSkills5 to 8 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years managing multiple external client accounts concurrentlyAdvanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online or Xero, with hands-on experience in platforms like Brex or RampCPA or CMA designation highly regardedStrong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trusted relationships with client stakeholders while operating independently in a fast-paced environmentBenefitsA flexible, fully remote setupDirect access to senior leadershipReal investment in your continued developmentCompany OverviewHALKIN has been helping companies scale for over 20 years.
