[Remote] Financial Controller

They are seeking a Financial Controller to manage all accounting, tax, and operational finance responsibilities for their US operations, ensuring compliance with US GAAP and driving financial efficiency.ResponsibilitiesOwn the US entity’s books, ensuring compliance with US GAAP and timely, accurate financial statementsManage month-end close, reconciliations, and revenue recognitionPrepare monthly and quarterly reports for consolidation and internal decision-makingMaintain disciplined accounting processes and strengthen controls as the business scalesCoordinate the group consolidation under US GAAP, incorporating IFRS-based Africa subsidiariesCoordinate external financial reviews and audit readiness, ensuring all entities maintain documentation, reconciliations, and controls that meet auditor, lender or investor standardsEnsure intercompany balances and funding are reconciled and compliant with group policiesMaintain documentation for intercompany accounting best practices and transfer pricing (knowledge a plus)Oversee all US statutory, tax, and regulatory filings, working with external advisorsIdentify and mitigate financial and compliance risks, including FX and intercompany exposureMaintain internal control frameworks appropriate for a high-performing, growth-stage finance functionOversee client billing, payments, and receivables, ensuring accuracy and timely collectionsManage cash flow forecasting, US bank accounts, and fund transfers to subsidiariesMonitor and optimize working capital i.e. AR, AP, and intercompany, to ensure liquidity and efficiencyCoordinate with Operations and Client Success to validate billing data and service metrics.
