[Remote] Financial Clearance Specialist

The Financial Clearance Specialist role focuses on providing exceptional customer service while managing patient cost share and insurance verification prior to services being rendered.ResponsibilitiesProvides world-class customer service and follows scripted benefit verification format in HIS benefits screen and updates accounts in workflow system with accurate documentationSelects accurate medical records for patient safety and schedules appropriate procedures based on physician ordersAssigns insurance plans accurately, performs electronic eligibility confirmation and documents results, calculates patient cost share/liability and attempts to collect via phone within 48 hours of the date of serviceUtilizes appropriate systems to facilitate communication with hospital gatekeepers, utilizes health information system account and collects documentation as appropriateMeet performance expectations within 90 days from the date of hire. These goals are set on a daily individual as well as a team basis to support achievement of 2% of Net Patient Revenue.
