[Remote] Financial Analyst, Technology

WEX is seeking a Financial Analyst to support the Technology FP&A team, partnering closely with Technology leadership to drive financial planning and operational reporting. This role contributes to forecasting accuracy and performance management while supporting informed decision-making aligned with WEX’s growth and digital transformation strategy.ResponsibilitiesLead the annual operating plan, quarterly forecasts, and long-range planning processes for TechnologyProvide visibility into key cost drivers including headcount, vendor spend, cloud costs, software, and infrastructureManage monthly reporting, variance analysis, and stakeholder support across assigned areasContribute to enhancements in forecasting tools, reporting processes, and planning systems (e.g., Anaplan)Manage the monthly and quarterly standard close processes, including preparing accruals and reclassesCollaborate with departments and hiring managers on headcount forecasts related to FTEs and ContractorsDevelop and maintain dashboards and KPIs to monitor financial and operational performanceAnalyze actuals versus plan, identify drivers of variance, and recommend actionable solutionsTrack and evaluate cost-efficiency initiatives and operational improvement programs to measure realized savings and ROISupport alignment between financial performance and operational executionServe as a trusted finance partner to Technology leadersTranslate financial analysis into clear, concise insights for Director-level and senior leadership discussionsSupport strategic initiatives including digital transformation, modernization, automation, and AI-related investmentsMaintain adherence to internal controls, data accuracy standards, and financial governance requirementsDrive process improvements in reporting, modeling, and analytics through automation and effective use of financial systemsSkillsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline required5–8+ years of progressive experience in financial planning, analysis, or business financeStrong financial modeling skills and proficiency in Excel (V-look-ups, formulas, pivots); experience with planning tools (e.g., Anaplan, HFM), Access, and Peoplesoft preferredExperience working cross-functionally with business stakeholdersAbility to translate complex data into clear, actionable insightsHighly proactive, detail-oriented, and self-driven, with strong communication skillsAbility to be innovative and challenge the status quo to drive process improvementMaster's DegreeBenefitsHealth, dental and vision insurancesRetirement savings planPaid time offHealth savings accountFlexible spending accountsLife insuranceDisability insuranceTuition reimbursementCompany OverviewWex is a financial technology service provider for fleet, travel and healthcare industries.
