[Remote] Financial Analyst
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. The Universities of Wisconsin is seeking a Financial Analyst to join their Contracts and Finance department. This role involves collecting, analyzing, and forecasting financial data to support informed decision-making and serve as a finance Subject Matter Expert on cross-departmental projects.ResponsibilitiesUses statistical analysis, simulations, predictive modeling, or other methods to analyze information and develop solutions to business problemsParticipates in development, maintenance, and monitoring of automated financial information systems and budgets, and disseminates updates and results to leadership when appropriateParticipates in the development and implementation of financial processes throughout the department; including the development and provision of training and instructions, timelines, reports, and recommendations for improvementPrepares reports, spreadsheets, and schedules with compiled financial dataProcesses general ledger entries in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
