[Remote] Financial Analyst

The Financial Analyst will support the Finance and Business Operations team by driving budgeting and reporting, building financial models, and translating complex financial performance into actionable insights.ResponsibilitiesMaintain and update financial models, reports, and dashboardsAssist with budget tracking and forecasting, including monitoring actuals vs. budgetSupport data management to ensure accuracy and integrity across NTC’s ERP systems and platformsSupport monthly close activities, including reconciliations, accruals, and variance analysisAnalyze monthly financial results to identify trends, risks, and key performance indicators (KPIs)Assist in monitoring grant spending down, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely submission of financial reportsReview and analyze timecard and labor data, including cost allocations and trend analysisTrack and summarize invoicing, revenue, and delivery status across projectsAnalyze project performance and identify risks such as budget variances, underbilling, or delivery gapsSkillsBachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field, or 2–4 years of related experience in financial planning and analysis, including exposure to revenue modeling, budgeting, and forecastingCurious and proactive, with strong attention to detail and strong organizational and time management skillsBasic proficiency in Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets (sorting/filtering, pivot tables, basic formulas) requiredExperience working with cross-functional teams and communicating financial metrics and insights to diverse, non-technical stakeholdersFamiliarity with enterprise resource planning (ERP) and CRM platforms, with a preference for experience in NetSuite, OpenAir, and SalesforceExposure to nonprofit finance and an understanding of GAAP are preferredBenefitsComprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, short-term and long-term disabilityNTC observes over 30 holidays per year in addition to paid vacation and sick timeNew hire home office reimbursement12 weeks of paid parental leave3% match 401K planCompany OverviewNew Teacher Center focuses on improving student learning by accelerating the effectiveness of new teachers.
