[Remote] Financial Analyst

They are seeking a Remediation Financial Analyst to support project finances, invoicing, forecasting, financial analysis, reporting, and billing-related activities for a global leader in the legal industry.ResponsibilitiesProcess customer invoices in a timely and accurate mannerPartner with Project Managers, Operations Managers, and Finance/Accounting teams to improve invoice accuracy and timelinessDevelop and maintain standard operating procedures related to key responsibilitiesPull data and reports from business systems to analyze project activity, cost drivers, and financial trendsSupport creation and maintenance of project financial forecast models, including weekly and monthly updatesMonitor project changes that may impact forecast models and support cost impact analysisMeet with operations personnel to translate project activity into cost driversIdentify ways to improve forecasting models and processesImprove internal reporting and databases to increase accuracy and consistency of invoice dataCoordinate billing review initiatives, including identifying billing issues, unbilled items, and time allocation concernsSupport operating revenue and EBITDA goalsMaintain activity mapping and related financial data within accounting systemsSkills2+ years of work experience in finance or accounting, preferably in a fast-paced professional environmentAssociate degree in accounting, finance, or equivalent education/experience requiredAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills, including advanced formulas and complex reportingAbility to translate business and operational activity into financial dataExperience with A/P, A/R, G/L accounting, and reportingGeneral knowledge of financial analysis principlesIntermediate skills in Microsoft Office applicationsStrong analytical skills and attention to detailAbility to gather, review, and process financial information in a fast-paced environmentEffective verbal and written communication skills across business teamsProactive, motivated self-starter with the ability to take ownership of assigned tasksAbility to multi-task and shift priorities based on business needsCalm demeanor and ability to work under pressureMust be located in an approved remote work locationBachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferredExperience with financial modeling highly desiredWorking knowledge of SAP or similar accounting software preferredPacific time zone location preferredBenefitsMedicalDentalVisionLife401KPTOSick daysCompany OverviewParadigm Information Services is a staffing and recruiting company specializing in software development services.
