[Remote] Financial Analyst

The role involves financial planning and analysis, supporting forecasting and budgeting processes, and delivering business insights through reporting.ResponsibilitiesSupport forecasting, budgeting, and monthly variance analysis for Sales organizationsYou will track visibility into Sales Commission spend and related performance metricsPrepare recurring financial and operational reporting, including monthly business reviews, QBRs, and management presentationsSupport the month-end close process in partnership with the Accounting teamYou will help with headcount planning, budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning activitiesDevelop financial models and analyses to support decisions and operational improvementsHelp improve and improve financial reporting processes to support a growing businessCollaborate with Finance, Sales, Revenue Operations, and other partnersSkills2–4 years of experience in FP&A, finance, accounting, consulting, or related analytical rolesExperience supporting budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis processesExperience communicating analytical findings and financial insights for a range of different audiencesExperience working with financial systems and business applications such as Excel, Salesforce, Netsuite, Adaptive, or similar toolsFamiliarity with SaaS or technology business models and main GTM metricsBachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related disciplineBenefitsThis role is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance, depending on the terms of the applicable plan and the employee’s role.Paid time offPaid parental leaveMany Avalara employees are eligible for bonuses.Benefits vary by location but generally include private medical, life, and disability insurance.Avalara strongly supports diversity, equity, and inclusion, and is committed to integrating them into our business practices and our organizational culture.We also have a total of 8 employee-run resource groups, each with senior leadership and exec sponsorship.Company OverviewAvalara is the agentic AI platform for global tax and compliance.
