They are seeking a FAAS Senior Manager specializing in finance optimization to enhance controllership processes through innovative solutions and technology, while leading client engagements and mentoring junior staff.ResponsibilitiesLead client interviews and workshops to assess their controllership processes and identify opportunities for improvementsLead engagements focused on the development and implementation of controllership improvement strategies, including process redesign, controls redesign, and automationLead conversations with the client and its internal stakeholders to assess the controllership function and record to report processes and prepare the company for scaling or transformation based on its goals and aspirations, including around topics such as AI, automation, and ERP implementationsLead engagements focused on designing and implementing risks and controls frameworks and remediating control deficienciesBe able to understand and articulate the accounting and controls implications of changes to controllership processesBe able to interpret analytics results over the client’s finance data to provide clients with insights and transparency that drive efficiency and process improvementBe able to understand and apply knowledge of how operational activities of a business impact the record to report processAbility to improve controllership processes in multiple scenarios such as controllership transformations, finance integrations, and public offeringsProvide clients with accounting assistance or transactions support as necessaryLead business development initiativesBuild trust and relationships across EY’s service lines and with external clientsMentor, coach, and develop junior staffSkillsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification required8+ years of experience in public accounting, financial advisory, industry, or a related fieldThorough understanding of finance and accounting processes, including upstream business processesOperational accounting experience is a plusStrong PowerPoint, Excel, and presentation skillsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills and proficiency in data analysisFamiliarity with AI, automation, and dashboarding tools and their application in accounting and financeKnowledge and/or experience with digital technologies and their impact on the record to report process including analytical tools, close and reporting tools, and ERP systemsExcellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skillsProactive attitude and willingness to take initiative, lead, and think outside the boxThe ability and willingness to travel and work in excess of standard hours when necessaryAccess to reliable transportation to/from the EY office and client sites.
