[Remote] Financial Accountant (Intermediate)

They are seeking a detail-oriented Intermediate Financial Accountant to support accurate financial reporting, balance sheet integrity, and compliance across multiple entities and jurisdictions.ResponsibilitiesPrepare and post routine month-end journal entries, including accruals, payroll-related journals, fixed assets, and other standard adjustmentsPrepare payroll journals and superannuation entries based on payroll system exportsPerform balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances in a timely mannerSupport the preparation of monthly financial reporting packages for APAC entitiesAssist with year-end audit preparation, including supporting schedules, reconciliations, and responses to auditor requestsLiaise with external accounting and tax advisors to support statutory reporting, tax filings, and local compliance requirementsReview financial outputs received from external providers (e.g., India and China entities) for completeness and accuracy before upload into the consolidation systemDeliver bi-weekly cash flow projectionsAssist with ad hoc finance tasks and analysis as requiredSupport accounting activities across multiple legal entities and currenciesPrepare and reconcile intercompany transactions and balancesAssist with foreign exchange remeasurement entries and related reconciliationsCoordinate with regional finance contacts and third-party providers to ensure timely and accurate financial data submissionSupport indirect tax filings (e.g., GST) and other recurring compliance requirements under supervisionAssist with month-end close activities, including bank and balance sheet reconciliationsSupport monitoring of cash balances and preparation of basic cash flow reportsMaintain accounting documentation, working papers, and process notesContribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including system enhancements, process refinement, and documentationSupport the transition of selected accounting activities from third-party providers to internal ownership, as directedActively leverage AI tools (e.g., Claude, Microsoft Copilot, Perplexity) to automate and improve month-end processes, reconciliations, and reporting workflows β bringing a continuous improvement mindset and enthusiasm for reshaping how finance work gets donePartner with the AP, AR, and FP&A teams to ensure accuracy and completeness of reporting inputsSkills3β5+ years in accounting roles, with experience supporting financial reporting and audits under ASPE and/or IFRSExperience in a multi-entity, multi-jurisdictional, or multi-currency environmentExposure to working with external accountants, auditors, or tax advisorsExperience using ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365, NetSuite, or equivalentSolid technical accounting knowledge with a strong desire to continue learning and developingStrong Excel skills, including reconciliations, data analysis, and report preparationHigh attention to detail and strong organizational skillsClear and professional written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work independently, manage deadlines and priorities in a structured, fast-paced environmentTeam-oriented, proactive, and adaptable mindsetExperience in a publicly listed company environment is an assetBackground in SaaS, professional services, or global B2B organizations is an assetBenefitsWork with global teams and leaders in an agile, high-performing environment.Thrive in a culture that values clarity, curiosity, and innovation.Grow your career through meaningful work, development, and competitive rewards.This is a unique opportunity to be part of a global finance team building best-in-class reporting and compliance practices.Weβre an innovative team leveraging new and emerging technologies to enhance finance operations.Youβll gain exposure to Board-level reporting, multi-national operations, and strategic initiatives alongside senior leadership.Company OverviewAdvantage Group helps businesses be better together.
