[Remote] Finance Manager

They are seeking a Finance & Accounting Manager who will oversee financial and accounting activities, manage budgets, and support executive management with financial analysis and reporting.ResponsibilitiesOversee key business functions such as accounting, accounts payable, and payrollCreates and monitors budgets, budget variances and forecastsProvide analytical, forecasting, reporting, and project support to the executive management teamPrepares and presents financial reports and risk analysisEstablishes and maintains financial controls within the accounting departmentManages annual audit with outside audit firmManage corporate insurance policies and renewals; interface with broker as necessaryAnalyze, document, and improve finance-related business processesMentor and develop finance staff membersEnsures compliance with state and federal regulatory requirements and professional standardsProvides timely, constructive feedback, coaching and progressive discipline to employees, as needed, focusing on the situation, issue or behavior in question while ensuring that the employee’s self-esteem is maintained; ensures that these conversations are appropriately documented in the employees’ HR record and that annual performance appraisals are completed within 14 days of the due dateCompletes an appropriate amount of work in a timely manner without jeopardizing quality; uses time effectively to consistently accomplish objectives and meet deadlines; organizes workload for requirements of the job; sets priorities and discriminates between important and unimportant matters; anticipates needs/problems; maintains attention to detailDisplays good judgment; takes the initiative rather than waiting to be told; make practical suggestions; learns from past experiences and uses those insights to handle new situations effectively; defines problems logically and develops appropriate solutions; uses creative approachesIdentify The ability to structure large complex data sets to find usable informationVisualize data insights and communicate your findings to teams across the organizationSkillsBachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance, or related field5-10 years' work experience in accounting or a related fieldUnderstanding applicable laws and regulationsUnderstanding economic principles, financial markets, and bankingUnderstanding financial data analysis and reportingKnowledge of payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable functionsAbility to deliver quality work to tight deadlines, with strong organization and priority setting skillsProven experience in financial project managementAdvanced computer skills, specifically in ExcelMust be able to communicate financial information into sound business language so people of all levels can understandKnowledge of federal regulation on taxes and reportingDeep understanding of financeBenefitsThis is a full-time, salaried, exempt position.The normal working hours will be Monday – Friday from 8:00am until 5:00pm.Although this is a remote position, we are only hiring in the following states: Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Maine.Company OverviewNew England Life Care is nationally recognized as a nonprofit, mission-driven home infusion therapy & specialty pharmacy services provider.
