They are seeking a Director of Finance to provide strategic financial leadership, oversee budget development, financial forecasting, and ensure compliance with regulations while partnering with various stakeholders to enhance program integrity and operational efficiency.ResponsibilitiesLead annual, quarterly, and monthly budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning activities for the state healthcare programMonitor financial performance against budgets and forecasts; identify risks, trends, and opportunities and provide actionable recommendationsDevelop and maintain financial reporting, dashboards, and executive-level presentations for internal leadership and state stakeholdersSupport pricing strategy, cost modeling, rate analysis, and financial components of state contract deliverables and change requestsPartner with operations, clinical, compliance, and analytics teams to evaluate program performance and support data-driven decision makingImplement financial controls, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with contractual obligations, state regulations, and corporate policiesCollaborate with compliance teams to support initiatives related to fraud, waste, and abuse detection and preventionAnalyze operational data to identify anomalies, financial leakage, and opportunities for cost containmentSupport audits, state reviews, and financial reconciliationsAssist with cash forecasting, accrual management, invoicing oversight, and coordination with accounting functionsDrive process improvement initiatives focused on operational efficiency, automation, and enhanced financial transparencyMaintain adherence to HIPAA, data privacy, and information security requirementsRead, understand, and adhere to all corporate policies including policies related to HIPAA and its Privacy and Security RulesSkillsBachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field requiredMinimum of 7 years of progressive financial management experience, including experience supporting large government healthcare or public sector programs with project budgets greater than $50 million dollarsDemonstrated experience with budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and executive reportingAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting toolsStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial and operational dataExcellent verbal and written communication skills, including experience presenting to executive leadership and external stakeholdersPreferred experience working with New York State agencies, Medicaid programs, managed care organizations, or healthcare oversight initiativesExperience with pricing strategy, competitive analysis, and proposal support for state or government contracts preferredMBA, CPA, or other advanced financial certificationStrong knowledge of healthcare finance, government contracting, Medicaid reimbursement methodologies, and financial compliance requirementsExperience supporting program integrity initiatives, including fraud, waste, and abuse detection, data analysis, and financial oversightExperience with Deltek Costpoint or Oracle EPM preferredBenefitsComprehensive health plansPaid time offRetirement savingsCorporate wellnessEducational assistanceCorporate discountsCompany OverviewAcentra Health is a provider of clinical services and technological solutions to government healthcare organizations.
