The Finance Controller is responsible for overseeing financial systems, accounting processes, and financial reporting, while serving as a key business partner to leadership by providing timely financial information and maintaining strong internal controls.ResponsibilitiesOversee month-end and year-end close processes while maintaining the accuracy and integrity of financial records and the general ledgerManage accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management activities, and other day-to-day accounting operations to support organizational performancePrepare financial statements, support financial reporting requirements, and provide financial analysis to assist leadership in decision-makingSupport budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities while monitoring financial performance, identifying trends, and recommending corrective action when necessaryMaintain internal controls, financial policies, and accounting procedures designed to ensure compliance, safeguard company assets, and support audit readinessCoordinate audits, tax filings, regulatory reporting requirements, and relationships with external financial partners, including accounting firms, payroll providers, and banking institutionsDevelop and maintain financial SOPs, workflows, and documentation to improve operational efficiency and support organizational growthSupervise, develop, and support assigned finance team members while fostering accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement across financial operationsMonitor financial performance, identify risks and opportunities, and provide recommendations that support organizational goals and long-term sustainabilityLead by example to reinforce Cardinal Pediatric Therapies' values, culture, and expectationsSkillsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related fieldMinimum of three years of experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping, financial operations, or a related fieldStrong understanding of accounting principles, financial controls, financial reporting, and reconciliation processesExperience preparing financial statements and maintaining accurate financial recordsStrong organizational, analytical, and communication skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detailAbility to communicate professionally with leadership, team members, auditors, vendors, and external partnersExperience in healthcare, behavioral health, or multi-location service organizationsExperience supporting budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow managementExperience supervising accounting or finance staffCPA, CMA, or other relevant professional certificationExperience with payroll systems, reimbursement processes, or healthcare revenue cycle operationsExperience with accounting and financial reporting softwareCompany OverviewCardinal Pediatric Therapies is a mental health agency that provides evidence-based applied behavior analysis therapy for children.
