They are seeking a Finance Consultant to provide strategic and hands-on support across key finance functions in a commercialization environment, particularly in clinical or commercial-stage biotech or specialty pharma.ResponsibilitiesProvide strategic and hands-on support across: General AccountingGeneral Ledger, Accounts Payable, month-end closeFinancial reporting and controlsRevenue Recognition / Gross-to-Net (GTN)Government pricing, rebates, discounts, admin feesReturned and free goods accountingCoordination with third-party GTN providersCost & Inventory AccountingStandard cost developmentInventory accounting and capitalization (post-PDUFA)ERP & SystemsERP selection, implementation, or optimization (NetSuite, SAP preferred)Finance transformation and reporting infrastructureProcure-to-Pay (P2P)Process design and optimizationFP&ABudgeting, long-range planning (LRP)Financial forecasting and reportingSkillsProven experience as a CFO, VP of Finance, Controller, or FP&A leaderExpertise in biotech or specialty pharma, particularly in clinical-to-commercial transitions and first product launchesStrong knowledge of revenue recognition, GTN processes, inventory, and cost accountingHands-on experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite or SAPBackground in venture-backed or high-growth biotech companies, ideally scaling organizations from 50 to 500 employeesERP selection, implementation, or optimization (NetSuite, SAP preferred)Company OverviewAt Proclinical Staffing, our life science recruitment services support our partners with permanent and contract vacancies by connecting them with specialist talent across the globe.
