Pavago is seeking a Finance & Accounting Manager to oversee financial operations and support strategic decision-making in a fast-paced environment. The role involves managing financial accuracy, cash flow, budgeting, and providing actionable insights to leadership while maintaining organized financial records.ResponsibilitiesManage day-to-day bookkeeping and general ledger activitiesMaintain accurate financial records within: QuickBooksOversee: Accounts payable, Accounts receivable, Financial documentation and controlsEnsure financial data remains accurate, organized, and audit-readyMonitor weekly cash flow and liquidity positionTrack: Burn rate, Runway projections, Financial sustainability metricsIdentify financial risks and operational inefficiencies earlySupport leadership with visibility into cash position and business healthPrepare: Monthly financial reports, Quarterly reporting packages, Annual financial summariesBuild and maintain: Forecasts, Budgets, Financial modelsTrack actuals vs. budget and provide variance analysisDeliver actionable financial insights to leadership teamsSupport leadership with financial analysis tied to: Growth initiatives, Operational decisions, New business opportunitiesBuild models for: Revenue forecasting, Hiring plans, Investment decisionsContribute to long-term financial planning and strategyDefine and track: Financial KPIs, Operational performance metricsAnalyze: Revenue trends, Cost drivers, Profitability indicatorsMaintain financial dashboards and reporting systemsCoordinate with external accountants and tax partnersSupport: Tax filings, Audits, Compliance requirementsMaintain organized financial records and documentationImprove accounting workflows and reporting systemsIdentify opportunities for: Automation, Efficiency improvements, Better financial visibilitySupport modernization of finance operations as the business scalesSkills3–7+ years of experience in accounting3–7+ years of experience in finance3–7+ years of experience in financial operationsStrong hands-on experience with QuickBooksAdvanced Excel / Google Sheets skills including financial modelingAdvanced Excel / Google Sheets skills including forecastingAdvanced Excel / Google Sheets skills including budget trackingAdvanced Excel / Google Sheets skills including reportingStrong understanding of financial statementsStrong understanding of accounting principlesStrong understanding of cash flow managementExcellent written and verbal English communicationAbility to manage multiple priorities independentlyStartup or high-growth company experienceExposure to healthcare businessesExposure to multi-entity structuresFamiliarity with cash vs. accrual accounting transitionsFamiliarity with investor reportingFamiliarity with fundraising supportCPA certification (or progress toward certification)Company OverviewPavago - Thinking Globally to Grow Locally 🌍 Welcome to Pavago, where the world is your talent pool.
