[Remote] Facility Compliance Consultant I

The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) is seeking a Facility Compliance Consultant I to conduct inspections of mental health facilities. This role involves performing annual, complaint, and follow-up surveys to ensure compliance with state licensure statutes and regulations, requiring both independent work and collaboration with teams.ResponsibilitiesConducting On-Site Surveys - Perform all assigned annual, complaint, and follow up surveys of health care providers within required time frameComplete Written Documentation: Complete and submit all required paperwork according to Section protocols within required timeframesCollaboration & Communication: Participate in all required meetings and trainings to ensure effective communication with management, team, public and providersPublic Contact: Clearly explain rules, survey findings, deficiencies and regulations to providers, facility staff, the public and other agenciesSkillsBachelor's degree in a health, human service, or educational related field from an appropriately accredited institution and three years' experience in surveying, clinical and/or administration of a program in a related health field; or an equivalent combination of education and experienceMaster's degree in social work from an appropriately accredited institution and one year experience in surveying, clinical and/or administration of a program in a related health field; or Bachelor's degree, in social work from an appropriately accredited institution and three years' experience in surveying, clinical and/or administration of a program in a related health field; or an equivalent combination of education and experienceBachelor's degree in nutrition or food service management from an appropriately accredited institution and three years' experience in surveying, clinical and/or administration of a program in a related health field, eligible for registration from the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics; or an equivalent combination of education and experienceStrong written & oral communication skills and the ability to document clearly and concisely in a technical reportStrong organizational, investigative and analytical skills and the ability to make objective decisions while functioning independentlyStrong clinical background and knowledge in the field of mental health, developmental disabilities and/or substance use disorderCompany OverviewThe N.C.
