[Remote] Experienced Learning Designer (Contract)

They are seeking experienced Learning Designers to collaborate with subject matter experts to design and build high-quality MBA courses that meet accreditation standards and provide engaging online learning experiences.ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with SMEs and the program lead to design and develop online MBA courses that meet instructional quality, engagement, and accreditation standardsTransform content (Word documents) into polished, interactive course modules using platforms such as Articulate Rise and Instructure Canvas (LMS), adhering to established MyMBA templates and workflowsApply adult learning theory (e.g., andragogy, self-directed learning principles) appropriate for an audience of working professionals pursuing graduate-level educationDesign valid, reliable learning activities and assessments mapped to Bloom's Taxonomy, and real-world business applicationsEnsure accessibility and universal design (WCAG 2.1 AA compliance) across all course materialsMaintain project timelines and deliverables, ensuring on-time completion and minimal revision roundsEngage in quality assurance processes, including peer review and feedback cyclesContribute to a collaborative, innovative team culture focused on student success and continuous improvementSkillsBachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience)Minimum 3 years' experience designing and developing online learning experiences, preferably at the graduate education or corporate levelDemonstrated proficiency with Articulate Rise and/or Instructure Canvas (LMS)Strong portfolio of completed eLearning projects, with evidence of measurable learning outcomes and learner engagement. Work created in Articulate Rise is preferredKnowledge of adult learning theory and instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, SAM, backward design)Experience collaborating with SMEs and cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, project-driven environmentExcellent communication, organization, and project management skillsCommitment to accessibility, diversity, and inclusive instructional practicesMaster's degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or related fieldExperience working with the Mighty Blocks plug-in for Articulate RiseExperience with large-scale or contract-based program developmentExperience designing for business education, MBA-level content, and/or working professionalsAn understanding of Universal Design for Learning (UDL) and continuous improvement methodologiesFamiliarity with project management and collaboration tools (e.g., Asana, Slack, Zoom)Benefits$500 bonus for courses delivered within 3 weeks and passing the final review on the first submissionRevision Policy: Courses requiring more than two (2) revision rounds or not delivered within the 4-week build window will enter a remediation period. During remediation, the designer will have an additional 5 business days to bring the course to standard.
