Remote Event and Catering Coordinator
Our client is searching for a dedicated and highly organized Remote Event and Catering Coordinator to manage and execute a variety of client events. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to work from anywhere within the US. You will be the primary point of contact for clients, guiding them through the entire event planning process, from initial concept to final execution. This includes understanding client needs, developing tailored catering menus, sourcing appropriate venues (if applicable), managing vendor relationships, and ensuring seamless event delivery.
Key responsibilities involve meticulous budget management, creating detailed event timelines, coordinating logistics such as staffing, equipment, and transportation, and overseeing the catering aspects to ensure high quality and timely service. You will be responsible for maintaining strong relationships with a network of vendors, including caterers, decorators, entertainers, and venue managers. Strong negotiation skills will be essential for securing the best services at competitive prices. The ability to anticipate potential issues and proactively develop solutions is paramount. Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills are critical for success in this role.
We are looking for a candidate with a proven background in event planning, hospitality, or catering management, with at least 3 years of relevant experience. Familiarity with event management software and virtual collaboration tools is a must. A Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Marketing, Communications, or a related field is preferred. You must be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and possess exceptional client service skills. The capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to changing client requirements is essential. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to delivering exceptional event experiences. You will be expected to contribute creative ideas to enhance event offerings and client satisfaction. Proficiency in digital communication platforms and a stable internet connection are prerequisites for this remote position.
