[Remote] ERS-Power Study Electrical Engineer - Multiple Locations

Electrical Reliability Services, Inc. is a rapidly growing third-party, NETA-accredited electrical testing company seeking a Power Systems Engineer to support their service offerings nationally. The role involves performing and supporting a range of power system and engineering studies, as well as engaging in various field and customer activities.ResponsibilitiesSupport all types of power systems Typically, will work with a Sr. Power Systems Engineer to support project scopePerform short circuit analysis, protective device coordination, and arc flash studiesAssist other engineers with all types of power systems and engineering studiesAssist in the gathering of field data and documentation as neededSupport the full range of complex engineering studies including reliability, harmonics, load flow, and reliability-centered maintenance studiesAssist with the electrical power system documentation including system configuration, equipment ratings, and settingsMay support circuit and system measurements and help write reports relating to EMF, electrical load, voltage, and power quality projectsAssist in the preparation of estimates and take-offs for engineering study project proposalsGain a working knowledge of computer software and data utilized in the conduct of power systems and engineering studies and arrange training for others as neededFollow and assist in the development of policy and procedures for conducting power system and engineering studiesSkillsGraduate Engineer BSEEMust have taken and passed the FE exam or pass the FE exam within 12 months of hire dateRequires excellent verbal and writing skills to communicate effectively with clients, field engineers, peers, and managementRequires mature judgment, responsible for assigned projectsRequires a high degree of organizational skillsRequires sound grounding in electrical engineeringWilling to work flexible hours, weekends, holidays, and night workRegularly required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers, talk, and hearFrequently required to sit, and work at the computerSpecific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, basic color differentiation, and the ability to adjust focusValid Driver's LicenseBenefitsMedicalDentalVisionDisabilityFlexible PTOHoliday pay (9 days)401kCompany OverviewIn business since 1971, Electrical Reliability Services, Inc.
