This role is responsible for mapping business requirements to application functionality, driving continuous improvement, and analyzing complex business and system issues to ensure successful resolutions.ResponsibilitiesProvides financial systems and data support based on the alignment of business processes within the financial systems platformAssists the business with performing queries and defining report requirements in an efficient manner for analysis and distribution to practice managersCommunicates effectively with business users/owners, and proactively contributes ideas and proposes solutions to the business and financial systems teamUpdates systems inquiries accurately, from the business and internal team members, and in a timely and effective mannerDevelops solutions for financial systems data analysis to manage the business or support resolution of end user inquiries, including proper data extraction, storage, manipulation, processing and communicatingPerforms functional research or data mining to assist business owners in the pursuit of identifying key performance measures and indicators that drive reporting and analytics to manage the business, as neededAssists workstream business owners in the development of test scripts, policies and proceduresPerforms financial system configurations independently to meet business requirements as defined by the business or for maintenanceIdentifies and interprets trends and patterns in support issues and financial data, and proactively recommends actions and solutionsParticipates in cross functional teams to identify business risks and create analytics and dashboards to improve business processesExecutes financial systems activities, as defined in the project plan and milestone assignmentsLeads the planning phase proactively, as neededCollaborates and strategizes with IT, Financial Systems and business teams proactively to drive system efficiencies across the businessConfigures and maintains security of the financial system solution, and promptly responds to security inquires, including documenting security changes and corrective action taken within the inquiriesEnsures integrity and confidentiality of sensitive data when creating new security access configurations and granting access to usersEngages with management or Internal Audit to clarify security requests promptlyDemonstrates understanding of business process workflows and how financial applications are used in support of those processesIdentifies opportunities to improve or gain efficiencies within the financial systems or business processes, including creating and maintaining reporting tools and templates to facilitate the production of financial reports and dashboardsContributes to defining, planning, coordinating and executing financial systems updates and growth of end usersā knowledge consistentlyParticipates in the internal audit of financial systems procedures, presenting the audit with evidence of executed systems processes and reports (in a clear, accurate and concise manner) in compliance of defined controlsParticipates in cross-functional financial systems teams to directly support the business, financial systems and create analytics and dashboardsSupports and participates with team members when trends or problem resolutions indicate systems issues, necessitating future trainings or procedural issues needing resolution as identified by the team analyst or the businessDevelops and maintains appropriate FAQ documents to support resolution of end-user inquires and questions received by the IT Service DeskPerforms queries of financial database based on internal/external requests, and provides data reports of financial informationProvides support to team members to ensure functional requirements are representing the need from the businessParticipates in optimizing the effectiveness of the financial systems through workflow analysis, data collection/reporting and creating technical reports (automated and on-demand)Collaborates with business owners to increase their utilization of financial systems by successfully mapping business requirements to financial system functionality and capabilitiesOther duties as requiredSupervises the day-to-day work assignments of ERP Analyst professionals, as neededProvides verbal and written performance feedback to ERP Analyst professionals, as neededActs as a mentor to ERP Analyst professionalsSkillsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Information Technology and seven (7) or more years of experience working with financial systems, required or High School Diploma/GED and eleven (11) or more years of experience working with financial systems, requiredProficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, requiredExperience in Oracle Cloud ERP systems, requiredSuperior verbal and written communication skillsGood technical and data analysis skillsCapable of working and communicating effectively with professionals at all levelsAbility to work in a deadline-driven environment, and handle multiple projects/tasks with an attention to detailAbility to successfully multi-task while working independently or within a group environmentSuperior analytical and diagnostic skills, with the ability to apply analysis in determining appropriate next stepsExcellent computer skills with the aptitude to learn new software applicationsSuperior customer service skillsExperience working within a professional services firm such as accounting, financial services, business advisory and/or banking industries, preferredExperience with and working knowledge of standard financial process (P2P, PPM, R2R)Experience with maintaining user security in an ERP
