The role involves developing test strategies, managing test activities, and ensuring compliance with SAP best practices as part of a large-scale ERP implementation using SAP's S/4 HANA solution.ResponsibilitiesDevelop comprehensive test strategies and plansOversee the creation of test cases (automated and manual)Coordinate unit, integration, regression and UAT testing phasesDefine test scope, objectives, and success criteria in collaboration with functional and technical teamsManage test environments, data preparation, and test execution schedulesLead defect triage meetings, ensuring timely resolution and retestingEnsure compliance with SAP best practices and organizational QA standardsProvide status reports and metrics to stakeholders and project leadershipCollaborate with business users, consultants, and offshore teams to ensure test coverage and readinessDrive test progress to adhere to overall project timelineResource management and allocation, understanding test team workload, potential resource constraints, and ensure optimal resource utilization throughout the lifecycle of the test phaseProactive risk management: identify, assess, mitigate, and monitor potential risks with real-time alerts for critical issuesCommunicate expectations and instill accountability in test team membersResolve conflicts, promote work sharing, and motivate teams toward common goalsManage multiple test activities, tasks and resources through effective organization prioritization, and time management practices to meet program objectivesAdditional responsibilities include documentation, stakeholder communication, and identifying areas for improvement to enhance quality and efficiency of testing activitiesSkillsTypically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience OR an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience OR in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experienceHands-on experience with test management tools such as qTest, ALM or similar toolsExperience in cross-functional testing coordination across different workstreams, including management of onsite-offshore testing teams and alignment of deliverablesPrior involvement in SAP upgrade or implementation projectsExperience with multiple methodologies including waterfall and agile Scrum methodologyAbility to travel ~ 25%-50% to other major RTX US sites (ex.
