Integrated Resources, Inc (IRI) is seeking an Epic Instructional Designer to develop academic courses and learning modules while applying adult learning theories to enhance user performance. The role involves collaborating with team members to create effective learning solutions and ensuring that educational content meets quality standards.ResponsibilitiesDevelop academic courses and learning modulesApply adult learning theories to improve userโ€™s performance and productivityTest completed courses for functionality, quality, and timingApply contemporary learning best practices as well as standardized tools and templatesCollaborate with team members to recommend solutions regarding learning roadblocks and/or enhancementsDevelop knowledge check questions and realistic role-based scenariosAdjust educational approach, course content/structure based on feedback receivedEnsure system changes and updates are incorporated into existing documentation and curriculumMaintain expertise and competence in the proper operation and optimal use of assigned software / Epic modulesAssist in maintaining and testing the training environmentBe at work and be on timeFollow company policies, procedures and directivesInteract in a positive and constructive mannerPrioritize and multitaskDevelops academic courses and learning modules using course management software, web authoring tools, and eLearning technologies to meet strict timelinesContributes to the design, development, and production of learning materials using digital media (audio, video, and web) and the application of instructional design principles. Applies adult learning theories to improve userโ€™s performance and productivityProduces eLearning courses on time and aligns those programs with an overall learning outcomes strategy. Tests completed courses for functionality, quality, timing and recommend edits to improve accuracy and learner experienceApplies contemporary learning best practices as well as standardized tools and templates to develop and maintain training material, job aids, exercises, activities, and documentation enhancing the learning processSupports the formative evaluation of educational content/formats and collaborates with team members to recommend solutions regarding learning roadblocks and/or enhancementsWrites concise, compelling course descriptions and clear learning objectivesDevelops knowledge check questions and realistic role-based scenarios that reflect the course objectives and content. Assist in the evaluation of learner performance before, during, and after learning experiencesAdjusts educational approach, course content/structure based on feedback receivedCoordinates training logistics (courses, classrooms, registrations, timeframes, etc.) in collaboration with the other team members as necessaryEnsures system changes and updates are incorporated into existing documentation and curriculumMaintains expertise and competence in the proper operation and optimal use of assigned software / Epic modules. Remains informed about trends and innovations in the industryAssists in maintaining and testing the training environment in a manner consistent with the overall training strategy and approachSkillsDevelop academic courses and learning modulesApply adult learning theories to improve user's performance and productivityTest completed courses for functionality, quality, and timingApply contemporary learning best practices as well as standardized tools and templatesCollaborate with team members to recommend solutions regarding learning roadblocks and/or enhancementsDevelop knowledge check questions and realistic role-based scenariosAdjust educational approach, course content/structure based on feedback receivedEnsure system changes and updates are incorporated into existing documentation and curriculumMaintain expertise and competence in the proper operation and optimal use of assigned software / Epic modulesAssist in maintaining and testing the training environmentBe at work and be on timeFollow company policies, procedures and directivesInteract in a positive and constructive mannerPrioritize and multitaskMinimum of 3-years relevant Epic experience preferredExperienced in learning design, training development and eLearningProven experience in instructional education, training, and customer service preferredPast success working independently as well as in a team situation while meeting aggressive deadlinesExperienced with web training/authoring tools and multimedia tools/playersDemonstrated high degree of collaboration and diplomacy as well as problem analysis and creative solutionsDemonstrated competence in designing and presenting Web Based coursesProven knowledge of adult learning methodsDemonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Products requiredBachelor's degree preferredDemonstrated knowledge of specific Epic modules and workflows; credentialed status preferredMinimum of 3-years relevant Epic experience preferredProven experience in instructional education, training, and customer service preferredBachelor's degree preferredDemonstrated knowledge of specific Epic modules and workflows; credentialed status preferredCompany OverviewIntegrated Resources Inc.
