[Remote] Epic Clinical Designer

Inova Health is a leading nonprofit healthcare provider in Northern Virginia, seeking an Epic Clinical Designer to facilitate communication between clinical and IT teams. This role will oversee application projects, ensuring effective collaboration and adherence to organizational goals while driving improvements in healthcare technology initiatives.ResponsibilitiesFacilitate collaboration between project managers, trainers, and build analystsAct as a liaison between clinical and IT teams, ensuring alignment of goals and objectivesSupport the development and implementation of Epic systems and workflowsAssist in the design, configuration, and testing of Epic applicationsProvide clinical expertise and guidance to the IT team during project executionEnsure compliance with healthcare regulations and industry best practicesConduct user acceptance testing and gather feedback from end-usersTrain and educate clinical staff on the use of Epic systemsTroubleshoot and resolve clinical-related Epic issuesStay updated with Epic system enhancements and industry trendsSkillsBachelor's degree; or Associate's degree and 2 years relevant professional experience in addition to the minimum experience required; or HS Diploma/GED and 4 years relevant professional experience in addition to the minimum experience required6 years of project experience with progressively increasing levels of responsibility, within an Epic or healthcare IT environmentEpic certification requiredBachelor's degree in Nursing, Health Informatics, or a related fieldEpic Certification or willingness to obtain certificationMinimum 3 years of experience in a clinical setting, preferably with Epic implementationStrong knowledge of healthcare workflows and processesExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work collaboratively with diverse teamsAnalytical mindset with problem-solving abilitiesProficiency in Epic applications and a willingness to learn new technologiesFlexibility to adapt to changing project requirementsPassion for healthcare technology and innovationPrevious project management experience within Epic preferredBenefitsOffering medical, dental and vision coverage, and a robust team member wellness program.Inova matches the first 5% of eligible contributions – starting on your first day.Offering up to $5,250 per year in education assistance and up to $10,000 for student loans.Offering all Inova team members, their spouses/partners, and their children 25 mental health coaching or therapy sessions, per person, per year, at no cost.Offering paid time off, paid parental leave, flexible work schedules, and remote and hybrid career opportunities.Company OverviewWe are Inova, Northern Virginia and the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area’s leading nonprofit healthcare provider.
