They are seeking an Epic Certified HIM Applications Analyst II responsible for configuring, testing, implementing, and supporting Epic modules, while collaborating with stakeholders to optimize system performance and integrity.ResponsibilitiesThe HIM Epic Application Analyst II is responsible for configuring, testing, implementing and supporting the clinical, financial, or administrative Epic modules within their area of supportOversees practices and processes to ensure integrity, safety and availability of all data and application, supporting the goals and objectives of the customer as well as business needs of HoagCollaborates with key stakeholders, end users and other members of the business teams to optimize system configuration, function and accessRecommends technology solutions based on business needsMust be knowledgeable about the organization’s policies, procedures, and business operationsIndependently manages problem tickets and service requests, customer requests for system changes, data retrieval requests, system performance problems and optimization opportunities, and participate in the timely resolution of these activitiesTroubleshoots and resolves highly complex application errors and other system issuesActively leads and takes ownership for the build and maintenance of various system dictionaries, profiles, tables and other configuration pointsIdentifies system enhancement requests and works with the team to implement as applicableIndependently manages small to medium-sized optimization requestsDemonstrates capacity to take on progressively larger and more complex requestsCoordinates with the vendor as appropriateTests the system, including any configurations, customizations and new releases, prior to production implementationWorks with end-users to assist with the design and testing of system reports and communicate changes to end users and other staff as applicableParticipates as a team member in various projectsPrepares for and participates in system design, validation and/or remediation sessionsUnderstands data flow and supports/develops interface filesDevelops and maintains documentation (knowledge base articles) outlining standard operating and support proceduresPerforms all the functions above with minimal supervisionPerforms other duties as assignedSkillsHigh School Diploma or equivalent requiredMinimum of three (3) years' experience with the application, module or equivalent system of assigned functional areaProficient with Microsoft office tools, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and ProjectExperience participating as a project team member on a large-scale projectCurrent CA driver's license for local travelEpic HIM Certification/Accreditation is required. Certification includes completing application certification projects and testsHave at least one secondary certification and/or badge relevant to supported moduleAssociate's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent experience in a related fieldThree (3) or more years' experience with application, module or equivalent system as assigned, including experience working in a health care environment department, preferably in an integrated health system environmentOther certification with the application(s) within their area of responsibility and supportCompany OverviewHoag is a nonprofit, regional health care delivery system in Orange County, California.
