[Remote] Environmental Health Solutions Analyst/ Business Analyst
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Flourish and Thrive Labs is a woman-owned consulting firm specializing in public health solutions. They are seeking a Solutions Analyst who understands public health workflows and can translate that into effective technology solutions, particularly in environmental health programs.
Responsibilities
ā¢ Immerse yourself in client workflows to understand how public health staff actually do their work, with particular depth in environmental health programs
ā¢ Identify pain points, inefficiencies, and opportunities that clients may not have articulated
ā¢ Synthesize input from multiple stakeholders into coherent solution recommendations
ā¢ Translate complex public health processes into clear user stories and acceptance criteria
ā¢ Lead discovery sessions and workshops with health department staff
ā¢ Serve as the voice of the client within our technical teams
ā¢ Develop process flows, documentation, and visual aids that communicate the "why" behind solutions
ā¢ Challenge assumptions and push back when proposed solutions don't fit client realities

ā¢ WE ARE LOOKING FOR A TEAM MEMBER WITH PUBLIC HEALTH EXPERIENCE (LOCAL/ TRIBAL/ STATE/ FEDERAL)
ā¢ WE ARE LOOKING FOR A TEAM MEMBER WITH GOVERNMENT PUBLIC HEALTH EXPERIENCE, IDEALLY IN ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH AT A LOCAL HEALTH DEPARTMENT. IF YOU HAVE THAT EXPERIENCE, PLEASE ENSURE IT IS CLEAR ON YOUR RESUME
ā¢ 2+ years working in governmental public health (local, state, federal, or tribal)
ā¢ Demonstrated ability to understand complex systems and workflows
ā¢ Strong facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills
ā¢ Experience translating between technical and non-technical audiences
ā¢ Self-motivated with strong initiative
ā¢ Adaptability in dynamic environments
ā¢ Comfort working with AI tools and large language models
ā¢ Direct experience in environmental health programs at a local health department (e.g., inspections, permitting, compliance, complaint response)
ā¢ Experience with agile methodologies
ā¢ Familiarity with user story development and acceptance criteria writing
ā¢ Familiarity with Salesforce or similar platforms
ā¢ Background in process improvement or system implementation
ā¢ Understanding of public health data systems and reporting requirements (e.g., environmental health tracking, inspection databases)
ā¢ Experience with discovery techniques (journey mapping, interviews, observation)
