The Engineering Manager will lead a critical engineering team, providing technical guidance, mentoring engineers, and driving the development of high-performance software features.ResponsibilitiesProvide hands-on technical guidance to the team, ensuring best practices in software development, architecture, and designLead, mentor, and grow a team of engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvementDrive the development of new features and enhancements, ensuring high performance, scalability, and reliabilityWork closely with product managers, designers, and other engineering teams to align on goals, prioritize initiatives, and deliver exceptional user experiencesOversee code reviews, ensure adherence to coding standards, and advocate for clean, maintainable, and testable codeStay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in collaborative editing, cloud infrastructure, and web development, and apply them to improve our productEnsure the stability and performance of the Docs platform, proactively addressing technical debt and optimizing system architectureSkillsProficiency in Node.js, relational databases, and at least one modern frontend frameworkExperience with AWS cloud services and infrastructureProven track record of managing and scaling engineering teamsStrong ability to mentor and develop technical talentAbility to tackle complex technical challenges and make data-driven decisionsExcellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholdersBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience7+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 1 year in a leadership roleCompany OverviewClickUp is a cloud-based productivity and project management software company that provides an all-in-one platforms for task management.
