[Remote] Engineering Manager

They are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead engineering and maintenance activities at a biologics manufacturing facility, ensuring operational excellence and facility reliability.ResponsibilitiesLead engineering, facilities, utilities, and maintenance operations across manufacturing, laboratory, warehouse, and support functionsOwn preventative and corrective maintenance programs, ensuring equipment reliability and operational readinessManage CMMS systems, maintenance planning activities, asset records, spare parts strategy, and performance metricsOversee critical utility systems including HVAC, purified water, compressed gases, electrical distribution, chilled water, steam, vacuum, and building management systemsDrive equipment reliability initiatives through root cause investigations, trending analysis, and continuous improvement programsLead facility and equipment change control activities while ensuring compliance with GMP requirementsSupport capital projects from concept through commissioning, qualification, and operational handoverManage calibration programs and provide engineering oversight for qualification and validation activitiesPartner closely with Manufacturing, Quality, Validation, Facilities, and Technical Operations teams to support site objectivesManage engineering contractors, vendors, and service providers while ensuring safe and compliant execution of workDevelop maintenance budgets and identify opportunities for cost optimisation and reliability improvementsLead, mentor, and develop engineering and maintenance personnelSkillsBachelor's degree in a related technical disciplinePrevious leadership experience within pharmaceutical, biologics, biotechnology, or medical device manufacturingStrong knowledge of GMP facility systems, utilities, maintenance programs, and engineering complianceExperience managing CMMS platforms, maintenance planning, and engineering KPIsFamiliarity with qualification, validation, calibration, and change management processesProven ability to lead cross-functional projects and drive operational improvementsStrong troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and problem-solving capabilitiesBenefitsRelocation assistance is availableCompany OverviewGlobal Life Science Hub is a specialist life sciences headhunting partner supporting pharmaceutical manufacturers, biotech organisations, and CDMOs across the US and Europe.
