[Remote] Engineering Manager

EIS is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead and develop their engineering team focused on supporting manufacturing processes and product improvements. The role involves driving alignment between engineering initiatives and business objectives, ensuring product reliability, and promoting collaboration across functions to enhance operational performance and quality.ResponsibilitiesManage, mentor, and build engineering capabilities through training, coaching, and performance feedbackAssign work, set expectations, and ensure accountability for timely and accurate project executionSupport resource planning and staffing needs within the engineering teamLead engineering projects from concept through implementation, ensuring scope, cost, and timeline goals are metCoordinate with Production, Quality, Supply Chain, and Maintenance to ensure solutions are operationally feasible and sustainableTrack and communicate project status, risks, and mitigation actionsIdentify improvement opportunities using structured problem-solving (Lean, Six Sigma, DOE)Reduce manufacturing variation and cost while maintaining product performance and customer expectationsIncrease equipment uptime and process capability through engineered solutionsProvide subject matter guidance on product design, tooling, automation, material selection, and manufacturabilityEnsure engineering solutions meet regulatory, safety, and internal standardsApprove engineering documentation including drawings, change requests, procedures, and work instructionsMaintain accurate documentation of engineering designs, modifications, and test resultsPrepare and present progress reports, technical reviews, and performance metrics to senior managementEvaluate and recommend new technologies, equipment, or methods that improve productivity or product qualityPartner with R&D or customer engineering resources to support new product introduction and design improvementsSupport safe manufacturing through engineered safeguards and risk assessmentsEnsure compliance with required standards such as OSHA, ISO, and customer specificationsSkillsBachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering preferred)5+ years of experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment, with 2+ years in a leadership roleProficiency in CAD software and ERP systems (e.g., EPICOR)Strong leadership and team-building capabilitiesExcellent problem-solving and decision-making skillsEffective communication skills, both written and verbal, for diverse audiencesProficiency in analyzing data and developing actionable insightsAbility to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environmentCertification in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Project ManagementCompany OverviewEIS is a custom fabricator and a distributor for process and production materials, fabricated solutions, and value-added services.
