The Engineering & Estimating Program Manager is responsible for defining and deploying development programs to support Energy Services and Controls growth, managing multiple projects to improve profitability and customer satisfaction.ResponsibilitiesCreate the standard work and development tools for the Controls Engineering Specialist and Controls Estimating roles, including career path, skills assessment, and onboarding programsMaintain, grow and enhance established programs, channels and field councilsApply knowledge of the contracting engineering and estimating processes, controls systems, products, and tools to initiate and manage projects, including proficient use of standard project management skills and lean toolsLead teams to design and develop deployment materials including presentations, workshops, and control plansWork closely with Contracting Application Business Owners, representing VOC and presentationSupport Regional business leaders by coordinating activities and initiatives across business streamsCreate and deliver presentations to all Contracting employees, including Executive LeadershipCreate process maps and narratives to communicate process workflows and fulfill business needsClearly communicate project status verbally and in writingInterface with Regional Teams as well as other organizations within Energy Services and Controls, Sales, and Field OperationsMeet short and long term deadlines to achieve project goalsProvide program management through post-launch and control plan executionMentor estimators and engineering specialists on skills, contracting business, and communicationSkillsBachelor's Degree and at least 5 years of contracting experience required OR 10 years of work experience in the contracting business process or managementProject management experience with a proven track record of managing through deployment and transitionProficient use of lean tools including, A3s, affinity diagrams and FMEAs, and leader standard workAbility to explain complex technical concepts to widely varied audiencesStrong experience in planning and team managementMust have strong financial and business acumen and a history of running projects on time and on budgetEffective skills in leading teams and facilitating training in a virtual environmentStrong written and oral communication skills, and the ability to facilitate in a large group settingExperience working directly with field subject matter expertsMust be able to travel nationallyMust maintain a regular work schedule and be self-motivated as part of a geographically dispersed remote teamSelf-motivated, willing to take initiative, able to function effectively in independent and team-based situationsDemonstrated project management, time management, planning, organizational and analytical skillsDemonstrated ability to work with all levels of managementDemonstrated leadership skills, including the ability to lead by example and positively influence and inspire others to meet challenging goalsDemonstrated ability to cope with stress and maintain a professional and cooperative temperamentDemonstrated ability to manage opposing opinions and mitigate conflictInstructional design/development experience, or equivalentBenefitsIncentive EligibleWe offer competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits and programs.Safety Sensitive roles may require that you pass additional drug screening.Company OverviewTrane Technologies develops energy efficient indoor environments for commercial and residential applications.
