They are seeking an Engineer, Airframe Stress Analysis to perform stress analysis on structural components and ensure their integrity while collaborating with various teams and stakeholders.ResponsibilitiesPerform stress analysis of metallic and composite structural components, assemblies and systems to provide inputs to the design and ensure structural integrityAuthor analysis documentationCreate and/or utilize Finite Element Models (FEM)Perform Durability and Damage Tolerance (DADT) assessmentsReview engineering definition for release in the product lifecycle system (PLM)Author structural test plans and reportsCompare structural test results to analytical models (test vs Finite Element Model)Support development of stress analysis tools and methodologiesSupport multi-disciplinary configuration development and trade studiesInterface with materials & processes, structural test laboratories, flight test, manufacturing, and customers/regulation authoritiesSkillsB.S. in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent2+ years of relevant industry experience (or 1+ with M.S.)Strong verbal and written communication skillsKnowledge of airframe static and fatigue stress analysis for both composite and metallic structuresKnowledge of industry standard classical analysis methodsKnowledge of Finite Element Analysis methodsFEMAP experience is a plusProficiency with CATIA V5/V6/3DX and ENOVIA V5/V6/3DX is a plusBenefitsSubsidized medical, dental, and vision coverage401(k) opportunitiesPaid short term disabilityVoluntary long-term disabilityAdditional term life15 paid days off13-14 paid holidaysPaid sick leavePotential bonusesStock optionsCompany OverviewOtto is creating the future of sustainable air travel through paradigm-shifting design, performance and economics.
