[Remote] Engineer, Aircraft Power Plant Engineering
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. STS Engineering Solutions is hiring Aircraft Power Plant Engineers for remote contract opportunities in the United States. The role involves providing on-call engineering support for aircraft powerplant maintenance operations and ensuring compliance with regulatory and company requirements.ResponsibilitiesSupport aircraft line maintenance, heavy maintenance and modification of Airbus powerplantsProvide engineering assistance to Line Maintenance and MRO teams to support aircraft operations, repairs and maintenanceCoordinate with Original Equipment Manufacturers and Designated Engineering Representatives as required to facilitate approved powerplant repairsDevelop detailed work instructions and engineering drawings to accomplish minor and major powerplant repairsDevelop engineering orders to accomplish modifications and alterationsProvide Aircraft-On-Ground support for powerplant installationsDevelop engineering procedures, standards and process specifications to comply with manufacturer and vendor Service Bulletins, Airworthiness Directives and other FAA requirementsDetermine corrective actions or required investigations when trends indicate a deviation of engine parametersInvestigate and submit recommended troubleshooting actions to Maintenance and Quality ControlSupport additional responsibilities as assignedSkillsBachelor of Science Degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited college or universityPrevious powerplant engineering experience within the aviation industry, with an emphasis on commercial airline supportKnowledge and understanding of Original Equipment Manufacturer and Type Certificate Holder technical manualsAbility to read, write and speak English fluentlyAbility to sit and work at a computer for up to 10 hours per dayStrong computer skills with Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word, at an intermediate level or higherAble and willing to travel as requiredHigh performer with a focus on both quality and quantityWillingness to comply with Non-Disclosure Agreements and confidentiality policiesExperience with LEAP-1A, V2500 and/or PW1000G aircraft enginesExperience with Honeywell 131-9 APUsFAA Airframe and/or Powerplant licensesHands-on engine maintenance experience is a plusHighly developed interpersonal, organizational and communication skillsExperience using data management applicationsExperience using TRAX, AMOS, Microsoft SharePoint, Teams and OneDrive is highly preferredCompany OverviewSTS Aviation Group specializes in hiring Aircraft Mechanics and Aerospace Engineers on behalf of the biggest names in the industry.
