[Remote] Energy Compliance Analyst
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. U.S. Venture, Inc. is seeking an Energy Compliance Analyst to support its Energy division. The role focuses on ensuring business continuity and compliance with regulatory requirements while fostering relationships with internal and external partners.ResponsibilitiesParticipate in the continued development and implementation of the compliance programs for the U.S. Venture Energy division for all energy commodities production, generation, blending and import/export activities. The commodity portfolio includes but is not limited to gasoline, diesel, renewable fuels, and instruments, electric, etc within the regulatory spaceCompile the registration, monthly/quarterly/annual reporting and audit obligations of state and federal regulatory agencies including but not limited to EPA, EIA, PHMSA, CARB, ODEQPrepare the renewable instrument transaction processes, including registration, generation, separation, transfers, retirement and any related monthly/quarterly/annual reporting of RINs, LCFS/CFP credits, allowances, offsets, VCUs and RECsActively participate in the implementation and maintenance of written policies and procedures associated with the development of U.S. Venture Energy division program(s) with emphasis on regulatory requirements and product qualityDevelop relationships with counterparts in the industry to stay abreast of relevant changes in the regulatory and compliance landscapesDevelop understanding of the regulatory framework within which the business must operate (e.g. EPA, CARB, ODEQ, ISCC, Voluntary markets, etc.) and evaluate areas of significant riskUnderstand strategic planning to better understand business direction and implement processes in alignment with business needsCoordinate with Operations specific to day-to-day functions, such as Trading, Scheduling and Business Development, in order to adhere to regulatory requirementsAide in the Product Quality Assurance program and participate as necessary in Incident Response efforts when product does not meet required specificationsThe role may have specialized responsibilities in refined or renewable aspects of complianceIdentify potential problems or pitfalls and actively resolveFind ways of automation within processes to remove redundancies or manual practicesAttend training and development opportunities to expand industry and regulatory knowledge baseLive our values of High Performance, Caring Relationships, Strategic Foresight, and Entrepreneurial SpiritFind A Better Way by championing continuous improvement and quality control efforts to identify opportunities to innovate and improve efficiency, accuracy, and standardizationContinuously learn and develop self professionallySupport corporate efforts for safety, government compliance, and all other company policies & proceduresPerform other related duties as required and assignedSkillsBachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field or equivalent experienceExcellent communication, relationship building skillsProactive at problem solvingAbility to develop cross functional relationships and responsibilities, as well as those with project partners and third-party consultantsProficiency with Microsoft Office applicationsStrong oral and written communication skillsStrong organizational skillsAbility to work with large amounts of data and high-level attention to detailCompany OverviewU.S. Venture, Inc. is a Energy Industry.
