[Remote] Embedded Software Engineer (Associate, Experienced, or Senior) (Virtual)

They are seeking Embedded Software Engineers at various experience levels to develop embedded real-time software for avionics hardware solutions, focusing on low-level development, high-integrity software development, and integration and test automation.
Responsibilities
ā¢ Design, develop, test, debug, and maintain software integrated into embedded devices and systems, ensuring compliance with industry, customer, safety, and regulatory standards
ā¢ Review, analyze, and translate customer requirements into software product designs for embedded devices and systems
ā¢ Build and write code for embedded systems software tailored to specific specialized hardware
ā¢ Integrate embedded software with hardware components effectively
ā¢ Provide guidance on software and hardware integration best practices
ā¢ Implement current and emerging technologies, tools, frameworks, and regulatory changes relevant to software and hardware development
ā¢ Test and debug software for embedded devices and systems to ensure functionality and reliability
ā¢ Analyze, monitor, and enhance the efficiency and stability of embedded software systems
Skills
ā¢ 1+ years of professional software development experience
ā¢ 1+ years of experience developing embedded software using C
ā¢ Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
ā¢ Level 3: 3+ years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
ā¢ Level 4: 5+ years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
ā¢ Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate in a virtual work environment
ā¢ Ability to independently identify and solve problems encountered on the job using both creativity and established engineering principles
ā¢ Strong analytical skills, including the ability to isolate issues with logs and test results
ā¢ Experience with hardware debuggers (e.g., JTAG, logic analyzers, bus analyzers, etc.)
ā¢ Experience debugging, integrating, and testing software in emulated and hardware-in-the-loop environments
ā¢ Experience identifying software vulnerabilities and implementing effective measures to protect the software
ā¢ Understanding of fundamental cyber security concepts, such as secure boot, encryption, and key management
ā¢ Experience developing and executing test plans, test cases, and requirement-based tests for complex software systems
ā¢ Experience in scripting and automation using Python and Bash
ā¢ Knowledge and experience with developing software in relation to one or more of the following standards: DO-178C, NASA-STD-5001, MIL-STD-498, MIL-STD-882, MIL-HDBK-516C
