They are seeking a highly skilled Embedded Software Application Engineer to support the design, development, integration, verification, and maintenance of safety-critical embedded software systems within aerospace and avionics environments.ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, maintain, and enhance embedded software applications using Embedded CParticipate in the complete Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) within safety-critical environmentsAnalyze, interpret, and implement software requirementsSupport software architecture, design, coding, integration, and verification activitiesPerform software debugging, root cause analysis, and issue resolutionDevelop and execute software test procedures and verification activitiesCreate and maintain requirements traceability and technical documentationParticipate in design reviews, code reviews, peer reviews, and lifecycle auditsCollaborate with systems, software, testing, and integration teams to ensure compliance and quality objectivesSupport software integration activities involving communication protocols and avionics interfacesContribute to continuous improvement of software development and verification processesSkills7+ years of experience in Embedded Software DevelopmentStrong hands-on experience with Embedded CExperience working in RTOS-based environmentsExperience in aerospace, avionics, defense, or other safety-critical industriesHands-on experience working within DO-178C software development environmentsStrong understanding of software requirements, design, coding, integration, verification, and validation processesExperience supporting safety-critical or mission-critical software systemsExperience with requirements traceability and lifecycle documentationExperience with software debugging and troubleshooting in real-time embedded systemsFamiliarity with software development tools and version control systemsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and collaboration abilitiesExperience with DO-178 C DAL A programsExperience with FAA certification activitiesExperience using DOORS or other requirements management toolsExperience with avionics communication protocols such as ARINC 429Experience supporting certification, audit, and compliance activitiesExperience with tools such as Git, Lauterbach Trace32, ARM development environments, and MS VisioProgramming Languages: Python (Preferred)Operating Systems: Embedded Linux (Preferred)Company OverviewFast Dolphin provides staffing, outsourcing, IT technologies, consulting, ERP, Oracle, and SAP services.
