The role involves maintaining the system, collaborating with various departments to tailor it to institutional needs, and continuously improving its performance and functionality.ResponsibilitiesYour primary responsibility is to maintain the Banner Student Information System, ensuring it operates smoothly and remains up-to-date with the latest software and security updatesCollaborate with academic and administrative departments to configure Banner according to the specific needs of each institution. This involves tailoring the system to optimize performance and functionalityContinuously assess and enhance the Banner system to maximize its efficiency and utility. You will be expected to identify opportunities for improvement and implement changes accordinglyWork closely with colleges and universities to understand their Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) needs, with a particular focus on Ellucian Banner. Establish and maintain effective communication with clients to align project objectives with their requirementsCollaborate with the Professional Services team to share insights, best practices, and contribute to the overall success of the departmentWrite and maintain technical specifications/documentation to describe program development, logic, coding, testing, changes, and correctionsSkillsBachelor's degree in a related field, such as Information Technology, Computer Science, or EducationA minimum of 3 years of IT consulting experience and/ or hands on technical or functional experience in Ellucian BannerKnowledge and experience with the Banner Student Information System, including its modules (e.g., Student, Financial Aid, Registrar)Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skillsFamiliarity with databases, SQL, and data management best practicesProject management skills and experience with project management methodologiesAbility to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholdersKnowledge of higher education administration and policies is a plusRelevant certifications or training in Banner Student Information SystemWillingness to travel when required for client or internal business1+ years in Banner SaaS extensibility, automation, and integrations using Ellucian Experience, Ethos, GraphQL, APIs, and Data Connect2+ years in report development using Argos, or Cognos, or SQL-based reporting toolsAdmissions Insights Reporting is a big plusCompany OverviewFerrilli is an information technology services company provider, specifically serving the needs of higher education.
