[Remote] Electrical Field Engineer - Data Center

They are seeking a highly motivated Electrical Field Engineer to act as the primary technical bridge between design teams and on-site construction partners, ensuring the safe and efficient installation of large-scale power distribution systems for data center projects.ResponsibilitiesSupport the on-site installation, quality assurance, functional checkout, testing, and commissioning of critical electrical infrastructure - including medium/low voltage switchgear, power transformers, switchboards, protection and control, UPS systems, and electrical equipment internal to the data centerMonitor the deployment of advanced power backup and conditioning systems, including medium voltage UPS, backup generators, and BESSSupport and direct involvement in substation protection system managementTechnical support for RFI processTechnical support for temporary power and electrical switchingTrack construction progress against project milestones and ensure adherence to Basis of Design and engineering specifications - without compromising speedSupport rapid resolution of RFIs (Requests for Information) and Field Engineering Directives (FEDs) between the contractors and the internal design teamOwn critical lessons learned and field service bulletins that have design ramifications, so that they can be carried back into specs and templatingSupport all levels 1-5 of commissioning activities in partnership with Crusoe’s Cx team, reviewing commissioning documents for technical accuracy and assurance of design intent metBe an electrical safety champion in partnership with Crusoe’s construction partnersSkillsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent5+ years of experience in mission-critical environments supporting construction and/or operationsDeep practical understanding of electrical power distribution equipment assembly and installationHands-on experience with on site construction and partnering with third-party general contractors and electrical subcontractorsStrong project management skills to assist in monitoring schedules, spotting bottlenecks, and driving on time completion in a technical positionAbility to troubleshoot complex field installation issues and implement practical, code-compliant solutions on the flyFlexibility to travel frequently or reside near assigned project site - minimum of 50% of time on siteProfessional Engineer (PE) License or EIT certificationDirect experience overseeing the installation of high-density racks and their accompanying electrical infrastructureMega Project construction experience in mission critical or heavy industryCertifications such as PMP, OSHA 30, or equivalent safety credentialsBenefitsCompetitive compensationRestricted Stock UnitsPaid time off & paid holidaysComprehensive health, dental & vision insuranceEmployer contributions to HSA accountPaid parental leavePaid life insurance, short-term and long-term disabilityProfessional development & tuition reimbursementMental health & wellness supportCommuter benefits (parking & transit)Cell phone stipend401(k) Retirement plan with company match up to 4% of salaryVolunteer time offCompany OverviewCrusoe is a vertically integrated AI infrastructure company that builds and operates data centers powered by energy sources.
