[Remote] Electrical Engineer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Spencer Ogden is focused on the design and execution of new-build energy infrastructure projects. The Electrical Engineer III will support end-to-end electrical engineering across project development, emphasizing substation integration and power generation interconnects.ResponsibilitiesDeveloping and reviewing electrical designsSupporting system studiesCoordinating with interconnection utilities and EPC contractorsEnsuring engineering deliverables align with project requirements and grid compliance standardsParticipating in equipment selectionSingle-line diagram developmentLoad analysisConstruction support during execution phasesCollaborating closely with project development, operations, and external engineering firms to ensure constructability and reliability of power systemsSkillsStrong electrical engineering design experience in power generation or large-scale energy systemKnowledge of medium and high-voltage systems, substations, and interconnection designExperience with power system studies (load flow, fault analysis, protection coordination)Ability to interpret and develop single-line diagrams and electrical schematicsExperience working with EPCs, utilities, and external engineering consultantsStrong problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration skills5–10+ years of electrical engineering experience in energy, utilities, or industrial power systemsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (or related discipline)Experience with power generation, grid interconnection, or substation designFamiliarity with electrical codes, utility standards, and protection systemsExperience supporting engineering through design, construction, and commissioning phasesAbility to manage multiple technical workstreams in a project environmentCompany OverviewSpencer Ogden is the global award-winning energy, engineering and infrastructure recruiter of choice.
