They are seeking an experienced EHS Compliance Project Manager to manage environmental compliance programs, ensuring regulatory adherence and client satisfaction across multiple facilities in California.ResponsibilitiesManage environmental compliance programs for multiple clients, with a focus on AST, APSA, and Hazardous Waste Generator permitting, training, inspection, and regulatory complianceOversee hazardous waste generator compliance activities in accordance with California and federal regulationsLead and grow the AST Compliance service line, ensuring high-quality service delivery and continued revenue performanceServe as a primary client contact, maintaining strong relationships and ensuring a high level of client satisfactionPrepare and manage technical proposals, scopes of work, and budgets for compliance projectsCoordinate with subcontractors and internal technical teams to ensure successful project executionEnsure projects meet safety, quality, schedule, and financial performance goalsConduct or oversee facility inspections, regulatory reporting, and compliance documentationProvide technical guidance and regulatory interpretation related to ASTs, hazardous waste generator requirements, and related environmental compliance programsSupport collaboration with staff across multiple divisions to deliver integrated environmental services10% - 20% field work performing inspections, AST replacement oversight, SPCC inspections, and related activitiesSkillsBachelor's degree in science, construction management, or related field8+ years of relevant environmental compliance experience for diverse California industrial, commercial, and retail facilitiesDemonstrated experience with Aboveground Storage Tank (AST) permitting, inspection, and compliance programsStrong knowledge of hazardous waste generator regulations and environmental compliance requirements in CaliforniaExperience managing client relationships, proposals, and project budgetsStrong verbal communication and technical writing skillsAbility to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environmentProven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and manage subcontractor relationshipsCombination of environmental compliance experience in industry and as a consultantStrong combination of diverse Federal and state environmental compliance regulations, client service focus, team building, and project management experienceKnowledge of California regulatory programs related to hazardous waste and storage tanksField experience performing environmental compliance inspections, audits, and oversight of AST installation/replacementBenefitsCompany-subsidized medical and dentalCompany-paid life, short, and long-term disability401k match, tuition assistance, and moreCross-training and the ability to work on a variety of projectsPerformance-based bonuses or other incentivesCompany OverviewApex is a national water resources and environmental services firm that provides single-source solutions for routine and complex projects.
