Virtual Sign Language Interpreter
Location: Remote (Serving School Districtsin Nebraska)
Type: Contract / Full-Time(Flexible)
School Year: 20252026
Are you passionate about supporting deaf and hard of hearing studentsand looking to make a difference from wherever you are? We are partnering with multiple school districts across Nebraska to provide virtual Sign Language Interpreting services for the 20252026 school year.
How It Works:
• The student remains in the classroom with peers, equipped with a tablet.
• The classroom teacher wears a microphone to enhance clarity.
• You will interpret live via Zoom, allowing the student to fully engage in a general education setting while receiving real-time support.
Requirements:
• Fluent in ASL and experienced in educational interpreting
• Minimum 4.0EIPA Score
• RID/NIC certification or state credentials preferred
• Reliable internet connection and professional remote setup
Pay & Benefits:
• Highly competitive compensation$40+ (Negotiable based on experience)
• Work from Home - Fully Remote
• 10-99 independent contractor opportunity
• Flexible Schedule
Interview Process:
• 10-15 minute screening call with a VocoVision Recruiter
• Completion of VocoVision Tech Screening Assessment
• 20-30 minute Virtual Interview with the School District
• Offer is typically within 24-48 hours of the virtual interview
