The Clinical Research Consulting Associate will support the delivery of assessment, advisory, and implementation services across clinical trial operations, focusing on improving processes and outcomes in clinical research.ResponsibilitiesSupport current-state assessments of clinical research operations, workflows, and pain pointsSupport efforts to document current state and design future state business processesConduct stakeholder interviews, note-taking, and synthesis of findingsGather, organize, and analyze data related to study start-up, regulatory, financial, and operational processesHelp develop client-ready deliverables such as summaries, recommendations, workflow maps, and presentationsParticipate in building SOPs, job aids, and training materialsAssist with projects related to study activation, regulatory management, clinical operations, and research financeTrack timelines, milestones, issues, and dependencies across project workstreamsSupport documentation of roles, handoffs, bottlenecks, and escalation points in research processesContribute to identifying process improvement opportunitiesSupport CTMS, eRegulatory, and related research system optimization or implementation effortsAssist with testing, validation, training support, and end-user documentationHelp document future-state workflows, system requirements, and operational impactsPrepare meeting materials, track decisions, and follow up on action itemsMaintain project trackers, risks, and status updatesSupport coordination across internal team members and client stakeholdersHelp ensure deliverables are organized, accurate, and on timeExperience supporting or owning IRB submissions and study activation activitiesFamiliarity with regulatory documentation and audit readiness practicesCoordination of sponsor interactions, monitoring visits, or inspections3-6 years of experience in clinical research (e.g., study coordination, start-up, or operations)Exposure to multiple components of the research lifecycle (regulatory, operations, financial, data, systems)Demonstrated contributions such as: SOP or training material development, Study start-up coordination, Participation in system implementations or process improvement effortsSkillsBachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field3–6 years of experience in clinical research or research administrationWorking knowledge of study start-up, IRB processes, and clinical trial operationsExperience using CTMS and/or eRegulatory systemsStrong organizational, analytical, and communication skillsWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office products (PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, Word)Demonstrated career progression (e.g., Research Assistant to Coordinator)Experience across multiple studies or a portfolio of trialsExposure to academic medical centers or health systemsExperience across multiple therapeutic areas or institutionsBenefitsEligible to participate in Huron’s annual incentive compensation programEligible to participate in Huron’s benefit plans which include medical, dental and vision coverage and other wellness programsCompany OverviewHuron is a global professional services firm that collaborates with organizations to solve complex challenges and achieve ambitious goals.
