[Remote] eDiscovery and Data Protection Analyst

This role involves managing the full lifecycle of eDiscovery activities and supporting legal, compliance, and cybersecurity initiatives for the organization.ResponsibilitiesManage the full eDiscovery lifecycle, including identification, preservation, collection, processing, review, and production of ESIPartner with Legal teams to develop search strategies utilizing keywords, custodians, date ranges, and data source criteriaUtilize analytics and data reduction techniques such as deduplication, email threading, and near-duplicate analysisExecute and maintain legal holds across Microsoft 365 and other enterprise platformsMaintain chain of custody documentation, audit trails, and defensible processesSupport litigation, regulatory inquiries, audits, and internal investigationsMonitor and investigate DLP alerts and potential data exfiltration eventsAnalyze suspicious user activity across email, endpoints, and cloud environmentsSupport cybersecurity investigations involving insider threats, unauthorized access, and data security incidentsCollaborate with Security Operations and Incident Response teams to gather evidence and support investigationsAssist with incident documentation, root cause analysis, and post-incident reviewsEnsure compliance with data retention, privacy, and regulatory requirementsMaintain and enhance eDiscovery and incident response procedures, playbooks, and documentationSkills3+ years of experience in eDiscovery, digital investigations, information governance, cybersecurity, or a related fieldExperience with eDiscovery platforms such as Microsoft Purview, Relativity, Nuix, or similar toolsStrong understanding of Microsoft 365, email systems, cloud-based data sources, and data governance practicesKnowledge of incident response methodologies and data breach investigation processesFamiliarity with DLP technologies, insider risk management, and data classification frameworksStrong analytical, organizational, documentation, and communication skillsExperience supporting legal, compliance, regulatory, or internal investigationsKnowledge of privacy regulations including HIPAA, GDPR, or similar frameworksIndustry certifications such as CEDS, CeDA, Microsoft 365 eDiscovery, or related credentialsExperience supporting SOC operations, threat analysis, or cybersecurity investigationsBenefitsMedicalDentalVisionFederal and state leave programs as required by applicable agency regulations to those that meet eligibilityCompany OverviewBeacon Hill offers business consulting services.
