[Remote] Early Deployments Project Manager

They are seeking an Early Deployments Project Manager to lead project communications and manage cross-functional teams for site characterization and permitting, ensuring projects are set up for successful handoff to construction.ResponsibilitiesOrganize early deployments project team efforts with concise statement of work, clear deliverables, and approved chartersDevelop Gantt charts and work breakdown structures as required for proper management and reporting of project statusHold the standard on project management policies, procedures, and standards for all related and supporting activitiesOversee the preparation and management of critical contracting vehicles to support the projectsManage project timelines, deliverables, and budgets, to quantify, manage and communicate risk to the projectEnsure contracts include provisions to manage and mitigate risk to the projectAct as the central point of communications and updates regarding all details of the projects under your managementRegularly update and communicate with supporting vendors, customers, and all stakeholdersAct as a liaison between senior leadership, project teams, and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and resolve conflictsCoordinate with finance and the project controller to regularly report on the project budgetIdentify and mitigate financial, timeline, and performance risksCoordinate with Engineering and Quality Assurance to verify requirements and accept deliverablesIdentify non-conformances and track corrections while updating impact to the project and managing required changesEnsure that Safety Related items' quality is properly documented and filed as a part of acceptanceCoordinate communications and maintain accountability for project milestonesThrough project management disciplines, foster a culture of accountability, transparency, and common purposeMonitor project performance and leverage leadership interest and sponsorship to bring additional resources as may be requiredSkills5+ years in technical or industrial project managementBachelor's degree in engineering or 4-8 years relevant engineering experienceProficiency in Project Management Software (Primavera and MS Project)Experience in startups and/or resource constrained environmentsTechnical management experienceStrong understanding of quality assurance standardsNuclear experience in design, construction, commissioning, or operationsCreativity with a detailed understanding of measured and well managed riskExperienced in technical industrial projects, especially with familiarity of challenges related to permitting, civil engineering, and utilitiesAn active and effective communicator of prioritiesAble to recognize, accept, and manage riskPassionate about Oklo's mission to design and deploy advanced fission power plants to provide clean, reliable, and affordable energyWilling to think differently and do things in new waysComfortable in a fast-paced, highly iterative startup environmentExcited to think creatively, critically, and reflectively about the problems they are solving, while not leaning only on what has been done beforeAn excellent writer who can write in modern active voiceBenefitsFlexible time offEquityCompetitive pay401kHealth insuranceFSAFlexible work hoursCompany OverviewOklo's mission is to provide clean, reliable, affordable energy through the deployment of next-generation fast fission technology and recycling nuclear waste.
