They are seeking an Early Career Personal Injury Protection/No-Fault/Special Investigations Unit Attorney to manage a diverse caseload involving no-fault claims, arbitrations, and mediations while ensuring compliance with evolving laws and regulations.ResponsibilitiesManage all aspects of PIP/no-fault litigation from case inception through resolution including case evaluation, discovery, motion practice, arbitrations, mediations, and settlement negotiationsConduct Special Investigation Unit (SIU) Examinations Under Oath (EUOs) and prepare comprehensive reports with a focus on SIU and Personal Injury Protection (PIP) mattersReview new file assignments, analyze evidence, develop case strategies, and prepare and draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documentsConduct AAA no-fault arbitrations, and try cases as needed, including preparing witnesses and clients for testimonyKeep claim business partners consistently updated on case status through regular communications, strategy conferences, and pre-trial reportsMonitor changes in laws and regulations to ensure compliance and optimize legal strategies for the company and clientsSkillsJuris Doctorate and active membership in good standing with the New York State BarSuccessful completion of courses focused on legal research, writing, and analysis, demonstrating the ability to conduct thorough legal research and draft clear, well-structured legal documentsDemonstrates strong time management skills, effectively balancing multiple tasks and deadlinesCapable of organizing case files, managing legal documents, and understanding the discovery processSkilled in communicating with clients, preparing summaries, and maintaining records of interactionsWell-versed in legal ethics and the standards of professional conductEquipped with fundamental negotiation techniques and strategies for client interactions and settlement discussionsMust be commutable distance to courthouses throughout New YorkBenefitsExceptional Work-Life BalanceHolistic Understanding of the BusinessDirect Client CollaborationStrategic Influence and ImpactDiverse Legal ChallengesProfessional Growth OpportunitiesCompany OverviewAllstate is an insurance company that offers car, home, and life insurance services.
