[Remote] Downstream Bioprocessing Business Development Manager

The Downstream Bioprocessing Business Development Manager will drive the growth of purification solutions by developing and executing strategic initiatives, collaborating with internal teams, and nurturing customer relationships.ResponsibilitiesServe on the Isolere and Purexa leadership teams, providing voice of customer and commercial engagement feedbackDevelop and execute business deals that deliver value and lead to early adopters and continued sales (alpha/beta testing, material transfer agreements, collaborations, and supply agreements)Continue supporting and optimizing established channel partnerships and seek out additional opportunitiesDevelop and implement comprehensive business development strategies to achieve company objectives and targetsDrive customer adoption and retention strategiesSeek out and nurture strong customer relationships with decision makers in customer segments, including pharma, biotech, C(D/M/R)Os, vector cores, and related industriesDevelop and manage sales budgets, forecasts, and commercial team buildoutManage and support commercially aligned team, including field application scientistsRegularly analyze sales cycle and adjust tactics accordinglyDevelop processes and tools to ensure excellent customer experience and sales team operations, including the management of contacts and opportunity funnel within the CRMSupport GM in compiling data and presentations for senior managementSupport product and technology roadmaps by contributing information on customer needs and market trendsSupport marketing and lead generation activities by collaborating with marketing and product management, identifying and participating in congresses, key events and customer engagementsSkills5+ years' experience in life sciences corporate, business development, or direct sales roleBachelor's degree in Biology, Biosciences, Biochemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biochemistry, or a related fieldEstablished network within the Pharma/Biotech industry, especially advanced therapeutic modalitiesProficiency using CRM systems (Microsoft Dynamics) for contact and opportunity trackingExperience with adoption and commercialization of disruptive technologies and growing first $5M of revenue for a new businessMBA or PhD with scientific focus areaStrong understanding of bioprocessing industry and its commercial driversHighly motivated individual with strong communication skillsBenefitsSales incentive or commission plan, based on sales targets under company policyHealth benefitsRetirement plan (401k)Paid time awayPaid leaves (including paid parental leave)Company OverviewDonaldson Company helps solve some of the world's most complex filtration and contamination control challenges.
