The DMG Data Mining Analyst II will leverage technical expertise to extract insights from complex datasets, lead small projects, and collaborate with departments to align data-driven solutions with business objectives.ResponsibilitiesExamine, interpret, and visualize trends in medical data to generate actionable insights that support new business processes and refine existing onesCreate, Execute, maintain, and monitor SQL queries efficiently to meet business objectivesData optimization within big data environments by analyzing query execution plans, indexing large-scale datasets, and implementing data normalization/denormalization strategies to reduce latency and improve overall system efficiencyContinuously evaluate and enhance data mining and enrichment processes, developing tools and programs to identify new opportunitiesLead and manage small data projects, ensuring timely and successful deliveryWork closely with other departments to align data insights with organizational goalsSkillsBachelor's degree in business, technology, or a related fieldMinimum of five years' expert experience with Microsoft SQLAdvanced-level proficiency in Microsoft ExcelSQL experience in a Big Data environmentAbility to proactively develop innovative solutions while balancing multiple tasksStrong analytical skills with the ability to work in a high-performing, collaborative environmentExperience with medical and pharmacy claims strongly preferredDatabase administration, database development (non-ETL)Data warehousing experienceQuery optimizationExperience with healthcare data highly desirableBenefitsWork from anywhere in the US!
