They are seeking a leader to join their Platform Engineering Team to design and implement high-performance wealth management platforms and integrate FinTech APIs, while also mentoring engineering teams and collaborating with analysts and data scientists.ResponsibilitiesDesign and implement high-performance, scalable wealth management platforms using Java, Python, and cloud-native technologies (AWS/Azure/GCP)Architect microservices-based solutions for portfolio analytics, client onboarding, and trading systems, including integration interface design and REST API standardsIntegrate FinTech APIs (e.g., Bloomberg, Reuters, Plaid) and third-party custodial/payment systemsEnsure low-latency data processing for real-time risk assessment and rebalancing algorithms using Kafka topics and other event-driven architecture patternsLead code reviews, system optimizations, and adoption of best practices (TDD, CI/CD, DevOps)Mentor engineering teams in Java/Python frameworks (Spring Boot, Django, Pandas) and support best practices in event-driven microservices (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ)Collaborate with quant analysts and data scientists to deploy AI/ML models for personalized financial adviceEvaluate and integrate emerging technologies such as blockchain for asset tokenization, NLP for client chatbots, and robo-advisory toolsOptimize data pipelines for client reporting, performance analytics, and regulatory disclosuresEnhance security frameworks including OAuth, encryption protocols, and Zero Trust architecturesArchitect solutions that support hybrid environments, ensuring seamless operations across on-prem and AWS cloud infrastructuresDesign professional slide decks, architectural diagrams, and visual content using PowerPoint, Canva, and other tools to support client communications and internal stakeholder engagement effectivelySkillsBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (Master's preferred)10+ years of progressive leadership in technology roles within the wealth management, fintech, or financial services industryAdvanced experience with CI/CD pipelines, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), and automation tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible)Strong knowledge of programming languages such as Java and PythonExpertise in REST-based microservices, Kafka for real-time data streaming, and Snowflake & relational databasesDeep expertise in REST-based microservices, Kafka for real-time data streaming, event-driven systems, and relational/Snowflake databasesProven ability to explore and implement new technologies such as AI, machine learning, blockchain, and data analyticsPrevious experience in high-growth or startup environments with adaptability to scaling demandsRelevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, CISSP) are highly valuedCompany OverviewWe are a team of passionate software engineers and entrepreneurs.
