[Remote] Disability Account Manager

MRO is seeking a Disability Account Manager to efficiently manage and release protected health information (PHI) for healthcare facilities. The role involves evaluating records, completing disability paperwork, and ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations while providing excellent customer service to patients and clients.ResponsibilitiesAct as a main contact for communicating and collaborating with assigned accountsReviewing and verifying FMLA and Disability forms for validity and compliance with HIPAA/HITECH/etcVerifying patient information within assigned accountsโ EMR systems by using key patient identifiers to ensure that all records to be reproduced are for the correct patient and scope requestedConfirming request information and requesting additional documentation from patients/requesters to process pending formsPulling and completing forms while ensuring accuracy and compliance with MRO Clinics policies/procedures as well as state/federal regulationsFollowing and performing workflows specific to assigned accountsProviding and logging detailed and accurate information on each form processed in accordance with MRO Clinics policies/proceduresUpdating and maintaining an accurate Accounting of Disclosures for all activities and processes associated with the completion of formsProviding world-class customer service to patients and clients while ensuring patient privacyHandling high call volumes while maintaining a high level of service and professionalismMaintaining all established production/quality goals, while managing assigned accounts within MRO Clinics established turn-around timeReports to the Director of Disability as necessaryThorough and detail-orientedProfessional demeanorCustomer oriented dispositionDemonstrate a positive attitude, and be able to interact well with employeesDemonstrate excellent communication skillsProven consistent dependability and attendanceConfidentiality and discretion is requiredAbility to conduct and interpret HIPAA/Privacy GuidelinesSolid organizational skills, including multitasking and time-managementThe flexibility to adapt to frequent changes in the industry and officeSkillsHigh School Diploma or equivalent requiredThorough and detail-orientedProfessional demeanorCustomer oriented dispositionDemonstrate a positive attitude, and be able to interact well with employeesDemonstrate excellent communication skillsProven consistent dependability and attendanceConfidentiality and discretion is requiredAbility to conduct and interpret HIPAA/Privacy GuidelinesSolid organizational skills, including multitasking and time-managementThe flexibility to adapt to frequent changes in the industry and officeCompany OverviewMro is a leader in disclosure management and health information exchange.
